Who are we
Founded by Dasha Schwartz, a former professional ballet dancer trained at Canada’s National Ballet School and performer with companies across Europe and North America, Dasha Schwartz founded Cardboard Stage to reimagine how and where dance can exist. After years within the traditional ballet world, she recognized that the performing arts were often inaccessible and confined to the stage.
Cardboard Stage was born from her desire to break that barrier — creating a platform where movement meets culture, connecting artists and brands to bring dance into new spaces, new audiences, and new forms of storytelling.
Her mission: to make the performing arts more accessible, inclusive, and culturally relevant — one movement at a time.
